Home is currently in Wiltshire - extension is now completed on the house and the majority of work has been done. Dad was unable to work on this house for me as he had done on previous properties so with his many years of advice for guidance I tackled most of it myself.
I did the bathroom as a walk in wet room (useful for dogs and diving gear also!),
The other big project I did last autumn was the garden, pictured here (hover over picture with mouse and it will change from last years picture to this years picture!). 
When I moved in it was very bare and scabby paving slabs covered the majority of the back garden, these came up to make way for new turf, plus plenty of new shrubs and trees planted around the edges, but first I had to take up the old patio outside the existing part of the house and then around by the extension i had to dig up the old concrete footings to the outhouse which in parts were almost a foot depth of solid concrete!
Then the ground had to be lowered as it was above damp proof course, so it was out with the pick and shovel. Dad came down to supervise the leveling of the hardcore and gave advice on laying out the slabs, all cement was mixed by hand, again under Dad's watchful eye, this was the last time he visited my home, its just a pity he couldn't see it now its almost finished.
The extensions are now complete, walls have been knocked down inside giving a larger kitchen and apart from a bit of finishing all is complete, pleased with it, vast improvement on when I bought it!
